If Jesus wanted to be Crucified would a Christian help nail him up on the cross?

Wouldn't that be what he wanted?If Jesus wanted to be Crucified would a Christian help nail him up on the cross?
Deep theological waters there...

The fact is that Jesus didn't want to be crucified. He prayed in the garden that if it was possible that God would ';let this cup pass from me'; But He ended his prayer with ';not my will, but yours';

I struggle with this a lot. At one point I want to rejoice that Christ died on the cross because it enabled him to rise again from the grave and to conquer death and the grave for me. At another, I'm heartbroken when I read, hear, or see the story played out because of the innocent man that was led like a lamb to the slaughter all so I could have a chance at eternal life.

In one sense I do it to him every time I sin, because it was because of my, and all the world's, sinful nature that He had to endure it. But if you're asking would I physically nail him there if I knew that's what He wanted, then I'm not sure I can answer that. The selfish, earthly, human part of me wants to say yes because it would ensure my salvation, but the part of me who is connected to Christ and loves Him wouldn't want Him to have to be my penalty.

So I guess I leave you with a big fat, I don't know.

Sorry.If Jesus wanted to be Crucified would a Christian help nail him up on the cross?
How else could they possibly escape his father's notion of justice.

You see God decided that the best way to pay for the sin that he planned for mankind was the horrific suicide of his Son.

He needs innocent blood to pay for a mistake made by a woman and man who had no knowledge of good verses evil and couldn't decipher right from wrong, when he allowed them to be tempted without being there.
No, because it would not be possible to be christian until after he died and resurrected
No Christians till Emperor Constantine
Me thinks you should read the Bible more.
Bravo, Sun. I was going to post the same thing.
Here's my answer:
