Why do so many Christians nail the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath to the Cross?

Note:

The New Covenant nailed none of the Ten commandments to the Cross at the death of Christ(Hebrews 8:10).

Matthew 5:17-18

John 14:15

James 2:10-13

Revelation 22:14Why do so many Christians nail the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath to the Cross?
Because that's what they have been taught by their leaders and don't bother to look into it for themselves. They are like the children of Israel, they want 'Moses' (i.e. pastor,priest, etc) to tell them what to do, not God.Why do so many Christians nail the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath to the Cross?
Proof texts are a pretext.

The old covenant was indeed the ten commandments plus the rest of the law, and that covenant ended upon the death of the party of the first part, Jesus the Christ, even as a marriage covenant ends upon the death of either party. Paul explains this in Romans 7.

The sabbath was the sign of that covenant that was between God and Israel only. Christians were not a party to that covenant. God does not do things ';illegally'; as you assume. You are practicing replacement theology; taking that which was commanded of one group and applying it to another.

There is no command for Christians to keep the sabbath. Christians fulfill the law in the new covenant.

.
Ephesians 2:15 By means of his flesh he abolished the enmity, the Law of commandments consisting in decrees, that he might create the two peoples in union with himself into one new man and make peace

Why do you think you don't give animal sacrifice as jews used to ??
Galatians 3:23--26 ';Now before Faith came, we were confined under the law, kept under straint till faith should be revealed. So that the law was our Custodian UNTIL Christ came, that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has com, we are NO LONGER UNDER A CUSTODIAN; for in Christ Jesus, you are all sons of God through faith';

or Colossians 2:14 ';having canceled the bond that stood aganist us with its legal demands; this he set aside, nailing it to the cross.';

We are NOT under the law . . . we have been set free

Romans 8:2 ';For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.';
