So why do you as a Christian believe that Jesus needed to be nailed up on a cross for your sins?

and it was not because of your transgressions? So why do you as a Christian believe that Jesus needed to be nailed up on a cross for your sins?
all people are born in sin because of the fall of man(Adam and Eve)...under the law of Moses blood sacrifices atoned for sin but Jesus being perfect and flawless sacrificed Himself for our transgressions(grace) He bore all our sins and iniquities by sacrificing His pure untainted blood,it was because of our transgressions..Isaiah 53:4,5So why do you as a Christian believe that Jesus needed to be nailed up on a cross for your sins?
Because every great fictional work of that time period had to have a death scene that was over the top and gruesome. Plus aren't you glad that they chose that method of death, if he had been stoned you would be wearing a rock around your neck and that wouldn't be as cool. Poisoning him would have been to easy and then there really wouldn't be a good symbol for necklaces. So, the cross it was, plus other gods had been killed that way so it was a tried and true method.
because he was perfect. He never sinned. And therefore he was the only person elligible to be a perfect, unblemished sacrifice to God (like God called for clean, unblemished animal sacrifices in the Old Testament).

Why the sacrifice? The punishment for sin is death. God is just. We all sin. Therefore he sent Jesus to take our punishment for us so that we can be with Him in heaven.
the old testament = God's demand for 100% perfection 100% of the time

the new testament = God sent Jesus to meet the demand, pay the penalty, and IMPUTES that righteousness TO US....

***EDIT*** you've never actually READ the old testament, have you??? LOL!!!!!!
God got a Jewish teenager pregnant with himself in order to kill himself because of a rule that he made up himself.
I trust the bible. http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/…
The law needed to be fulfilled. The penalty for sin is death.
This was God's plan not mans.
because i can
We live in the world. The world is not conducive to being godly. Help us, Lord Jesus, we trust in You.
We need Jesus because NO man can be perfect.

Even if a man could become perfect ( which he can not),his very thoughts would condemn him......meaning that it is just as much a sin to think something as it is to actually do it.

God gave us His commandments to show us our need for the Saviour. Look at the time lapse between His giving His commandments and when Jesus came to die on the cross. He made sure that it was enough time that we would understand that if no man had been perfect during that time frame that it just could not be done by man.
