Peace013 鈥?How were the feet of Jesus nailed to the cross?

This is a repost of what I posted about 12 hours ago.

The depiction in crucifixes is one nail was driven into one foot of Jesus over the other. How do you think were the feet of Jesus nailed on the cross: with one nail driven through the left foot over the right foot, or with one nail driven through the right foot over the left foot, or with one nail driven to each foot?

This is what I know which I would like to share with you. It is up to you whether you will believe it or not.Peace013 鈥?How were the feet of Jesus nailed to the cross?
Actually you may be surprised to learn that there is NO Greek word for ';cross'; and that the two Greek words we translate for cross actually mean either wood or beam (post). It is quite possible then that the crucifixio occurred on a single post anchored into the ground. hat being the case, only TWO nails were used - one for the hands and one for the feet.

Its really not important - it was an awful death that WE deserved but Jesus 'took the bullet'; for us. And I praise His holy name! He DIED for me so the least I can do is to LIVE FOR HIM!Peace013 鈥?How were the feet of Jesus nailed to the cross?
';Depictions'; are just that, artist depictions. The reality is that two feet would be nailed together right through the ankles. This caused the legs to bend to the side. We know this is the way it was done because of archaeological discoveries which have just such skeletal remains. It was often impossible to remove the one spike from the dense bone of the two feet.
