Jesus was walking and picking corn on the sabbath and some saw him and he responded that the sabbath was made for man not man for sabbath. Sacrifices was stopped. Grace and what I mean by that God's wrath isnt showed like it was in the Old Test.What laws were done away with when Jesus was nailed to the cross?

We have a new law now. The law of love.





Love God with all your heart mind and soul





Love your neighbor as yourself.





It's a higher calling to follow these 2 commandments.
No Laws were done away with, though the Messiah was the passover lamb and the final sacrifice. Those things that pointed toward His death were fulfilled. (filled full)
We no longer needed to have a sacrifice on a usual basis to get forgiveness from God, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, and died for all of us.

but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (Jn 1:17)

Having animal sacrifices was a big one. No need anymore, and just confess sins straight to God. What an honor to have a way straight to God. Thank you Jesus.

We're not talking civil law, we're talking Levitical law


For instance, Levitical law prohibited eating pork, now it doesn't apply. There are many other instances too, more than I am going to write here. You get the idea anyway.
He didn't do away with the law, He just paid the penalty for every time you and I break it.
having to go through a priest to forgive your sins, now you can just ask God for forgiveness
actually i believe jesus said he didnt Do AWAY with any laws, He fulfilled them.


however by tradition circumcision became outdated as a requirement even though there was much arguement among the first saints.


most of the animal sacrifices were done away with as continuing practice, however there are some people that believe it will be initiated in the Reign of Messiah once again in the mellenium.


it is written that God doesnt want sacrifice, he wants a contrite heart and an obedient spirit. it also written that God wants a circumcision of heart too.


The practice of using a Micvah was also changed to a baptism of water as a symbology of being buried in death with christ but living renewed and in a new life. Some people think that multiple baptisms are a perversion on the Washed and Cleansing of the spirit.

I think I know what you're asking. Before Jesus died for our sins, Jewish people had to give blood sacrifices--the lamb is the purest. (Hence, Jesus is the Lamb of God). The blood was a symbol to wash away sin. There were/are many other Jewish mandates, such as what to eat, when not to have sex, etc, etc--in the attempt to keep one as pure as possible. Jesus died for us, not so we do away with all the laws, but so we don't HAVE to in order to be saved. His blood is everything we need. Now, some of the mandates (I'm specifically thinking ';food'; here--I'm a food person!) are just better for us. He would rather we eat lean meat-like mutton and chicken-- than pork. He wants us to be healthy and happy. The Old Testament is chock-filled with do's and don'ts.
None were ';done away with'; - they were fulfilled with the coming of God in human flesh. Jesus said that He came to ';fulfill'; the Law and the Prophets. Keeping the Law (although a good thing) was merely a way of pointing to and showing God's justice and mercy. Since ';keeping the Law'; could never earn us salvation - Christ showed us the way of Grace.
The Mosasic Laws. These were the laws that governed how God's people lived their lives . Remember, in those days they were saved by their obediance to the laws.





The 10 commandments were not nailed to the cross, there are very few religions that state that they were done away with so therefore there is no sin in adultery, theft, envy (you get the idea).





Now we are saved by what Jesus did, not what we do, but we will do what He asked us to do if we are his. A friend once said that our obediance to the commandments are the RESULT of our salvation, not the REASON for it.
