If nails weren't invented during biblical times, how did Jesus get nailed to a cross??

They WERE invented. Good heavens, do some research - read a book once in your life! Grrrrr......If nails weren't invented during biblical times, how did Jesus get nailed to a cross??
they used metal splinters. If nails weren't invented during biblical times, how did Jesus get nailed to a cross??
They may not have had a selection of nails as is found at Home Depot, but they did have nails.
Nails go back in history at least to the Roman period. They were handmade of various materials not uniform like today but they were there.
They had nails big ones
they were made by blacksmith type dudes and were long spikey things that really drove through their target okay? maybe they didn't call them nails back then...and they prob didn't call their big heavy stick made beat stick a hammer, k? r u happy now?
Read some History, Romans had nails and they were valued

they often removed them for reuse.
Umm... as much as I don't believe in god or the bible, even I have to admit that this makes no sense. Nails were around by then. Besides, nails that big are more accurately called ';spikes';. Either way, this not a good argument. If you want to debate the use of nails on the cross, it's better to point out that the palms aren't strong enough to support an adult human body that way. They would have needed to have been through the wrists to support him on the cross, which contradicts the biblical accounts.
Who told you that nails weren't invented by the time of Christ?

Sweetie, the first known metal nails were discovered in a debris mound at the worker's village around the step pyramid of Djoser, which puts their age at something over 4,500 years.
I am guessing wood sharpened to a sharp point, or rocks sharpened.

I must have fallen asleep in history class.
Hye!

i personally dont agree with u that prohet Issa (s.a.w) was nailed but ya! the truth is what u wont be able to bear coz the person who was nalied just resembled the prohet as Allah knew that he life was in danger so he decided to take him away from those enemies who wanted it kill him. i do belive u wont just agree with e n will have thousands of questions, but consier the fact that the person killed wasnt himself(Prohet Issa(s.a.w), but a person who just looked alike with the Prophet!... well! u can write back to me if u are left with any dobts. but i cant assure u that at this period there werent any nails yet invented! i am not really sure! bye!
whether it was nails or wooden pegs, the facts are that Jesus was not nailed on a cross it was a upright steak or wooden post.
Nails had been around for sometime before Christ. Although not as we know them to be today. They more like wedges of iron that had been beaten into shape. As far as Crucifixion goes, though, there is much evidence that the Bible is correct

as far as him being nailed to the cross. But the Romans did tie people many times, with ropes only and it is believed that some victims took as much as 6 days to die. Another thing that was often done after the victim was on the cross was they broke their legs. This made the suffering much worse because it is extremely hard to breath with your body weight holding your back firmly against the cross.
we had nails 2000 years ago. any other questions?
They may not have been the type of nails we have today, but yes they had a form of nails.
Uhhh.....Archaeologists in the Middle East and other Roman Empire lands have found many nails (more like iron spikes) from that time period - and some even found in the skeletons of those condemned and crucified.

Are you drinking something stronger than lemonade today....or did you fall asleep in History Class?
Nails were invented millenia before jesus lived. Do you think the ancient Egyptians etc. glued their ships together?
They were: http://www.glasgowsteelnail.com/romans.H鈥?/a>
Jesus was crucified during Roman times. Romans had nails.
spikes,wood, who cares?
Better question, how did he get nailed to a cross when Romans did not use crosses to nail up criminals?
