A man helping in the search for missing Shannon Matthews was found nailed to a cross.





The 43-year-old said he had been dragged out of his home and ';crucified'; just yards from where nine-year-old Shannon's family lives.





A neighbour who found him said he was singing, ';Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ';. He had surgery for injuries on Sunday.





The resident said: ';I told him to get up, thinking he was drunk, but he cried, 'I can't'.';
