Also, no one ever saw him, and the Judeans would not accept that story because they knew who was writing that story and also killing their people. Pilate was just put in the story as the writers wanted to make the time of the fictional Jesus seem to be during Augusta's rule but actually the whole thing, the story was written starting about years 60CE. Jesus was nailed to the cross by Roman soldiers at the order of Pontius Pilate. Pilate reluctantly gave that order after finding no fault in Jesus that deserved punishment of any kind, at the insistence of the Jewish Sanhedrin and the Pharisees. They said that Jesus was claiming to be King of the Jews, which was considered treason against the Roman Emporer, which placed him in Pilate's court.

Lots and lots of people were nailed to a cross in Jesus's time. Nor was Jesus innocent. He was a public menace like most of the preachers, trying to cause descent and unrest. If such a man existed at all, there was nothing special about his particular execution.
In the word it was said that the Jews delivered Jesus unto to Pilate for they rejected him as the son of God and ordered him to be crucified not Pilate as they would have you to think.
