What changed, after Jesus was nailed to the cross and died?

I am non religious, but I have respect for other peoples hobbies. I am curious, and just would like to find out, what was the motivation behing the nailing? And how did it work out so far? What changed, after Jesus was nailed to the cross and died?
Do not accept anybody's opinion on this matter. If you ask 10 different people, you will get 10 different answers. And all ten answers will be correct, and all ten answers will be incorrect. Get your own answer. Read a Bible, and answer your own question.

MY answer to the question is that the motivation behind the nailing was fear. The Jews were afraid of Jesus. The nailing was inevitable, however, due to all the pophecies in the Old Testament, which every single one came true. And how did it work out so far? The same that it has for over 2000 years. Perfectly. Jesus Christ is an unbreakable covenant between God and all. Jesus will present us to God and defend all our actions, if we allow Him to.

Again, don't take my word for this, I am only a human like you. Get your own answers. What changed, after Jesus was nailed to the cross and died?
Crucifixion was one of the most shameful ways to be executed in Roman times, also one of the most painful. In a nut shell, religious or not, We all sin, sin is falling short of the standard that God has sit. We lie, cheat, steel, and so many other things. The punishment for sin is death. The only one who could take the place of someone guilty was someone innocent. In steps Jesus, by being put to death an innocent man, he took the punishment that you and I deserved. Now it is up to you to either accept the gift of salvation or reject it. That choose you must make on your own.
