What is the purpose of angels? Did any angel ever get nailed to the cross?

An angel told the Virgin she was going to give birth to the son of God.

An angel stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac. Angels never have been crucified. Angels are not *mortal....they are not of this world. What is the purpose of angels? Did any angel ever get nailed to the cross?
Angels nail each other...What is the purpose of angels? Did any angel ever get nailed to the cross?
Have I lost my mind ? I could declare that I just answered this question, oh well....(sigh).

The purpose of Angels is to Minister to Man, and to Glorify Almighty God. No, that was no Angel on that Cross, it was Jesus The LORD, The Son of The Living God.

He who finishes with the most Angels,,Wins..
Angels are the ones who respond to God's instructions - not to man's instructions, and are sent to minister to/help those who love and worship God.

they are called ministering spirits in some parts of the Bible, and do just that, protecting, assisting and generally following whatever God has asked of them to serve His children.
they are messengers, and no no angel at anytime ever got nailed to a cross, the son of God did.
The Old Testament Hebrew and the New Testament Greek translate the word angel as “ambassador, messenger, deputy, and ministers.”

They are created beings and superior to man, but they are not as the artist paints them, having wings, and the like. No doubt they have bodies, but not like our bodies. If our eyes were not blinded by the fall of man, we might be able to see them. Eve saw Satan as an angel of light. Angels are not eternal beings. While they will live forever, yet they have not lived forever, because they are created beings. They were created like man, but not as human beings. A Christian does not become an angel when he dies, but, in Christ, he is greater than angels can ever be. “By him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Col. 1:16). See also Nehemiah 9:6; Genesis 18:8; Luke 24:37.

Angels never got nailed to the crossa and Our Savior Jesus Christ did and those cults who deny the deity of Christ will say anything to stop people from worshiping the True God and Jesus Christ whom He sent.
We have 2 types of Angels.Spiritual beings that deliver messages from our creator and bring joy and healings to mankind. Then we have what we call earth angels and these are souls that do our creators work as a bodied soul to help bring all souls out of the darkness and show us who we truly are.We are spirit first and body second.
Dear Nina,

The Bible doesn't say a word about any angels getting nailed to a cross. If that happened I know that God knows about it and knew that human beings did not have a need to know so He didn't mention it.

Just supposing they did what good would that do me or you? It would not make it possible for anybody to be put into a right relationship with our heavenly Father. It would still leave mankind with a big sin problem.

Plenty of people were nailed to crosses. Their deaths did not make it possible for anybody to be put into a right relationship with our heavenly Father.

Jesus Christ is the only one whose death on the cross could make it possible to be put into a right relationship with God. And that is because he was fully God and fully man.

For His glory,

Though they have wills, the angels are, like all creatures, subject to the will of God. Good angels are sent by God to help believers (Hebrews 1:14). Here are some activities the Bible ascribes to angels:

A. They praise God (Psalm 148:1,2; Isaiah 6:3).

B. They worship God (Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:8-13).

C. They rejoice in what God does (Job 38:6-7).

D. They serve God (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 22:9).

E. They appear before God (Job 1:6; 2:1).

F. They are instruments of God's judgments (Revelation 7:1; 8:2).

G. They bring answers to prayer (Acts 12:5-10).

H. They aid in winning people to Christ (Acts 8:26; 10:3).

I. They observe Christian order, work, and suffering (1 Corinthians 4:9; 11:10; Ephesians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:12).

J. They encourage in times of danger (Acts 27:23,24).

K. They care for the righteous at the time of death (Luke 16:22).

No the Bible does not mention angels being crucified.
Angels are Gods messengers. Jesus was nailed to the cross. I guess you could say Jesus is an angel. If you believe in the trinity (Father, Son and holy ghost)...I believe we have holy spirits living among us protecting us.
Messengers, warriors, and whatever else is needed.
To deliver messeges to people, and God in human form to people's uteruses and stuff.
Well, Mormons believe Jesus was an angel.
God's messengers, and no they never got nailed to the cross. Jesus is the only holy sacrifice.
Angels are the servants of God, if I remember correctly.
Angels are heavenly beings created by God.

Described as

Spiritual beings that minister to believers

';But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?'; (Hebrews 1:13,14).

Immortal

';And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.'; (Luke 20:34-36).

Holy

';When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory'; (Matthew 25:31).

Innumerable

';But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels'; (Hebrews 12:22).

Powerful

';Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.'; (Psalm 103:20).

Elect

';I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.'; (1 Timothy 5:21).

Meek

';Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.'; (Jude 9).

Sexless

';For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.'; (Matthew 22:30).

Possessing emotions

';Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.'; (Luke 15:10).

Concerned with human things

';Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.'; (1 Peter 1:12).

Not perfect

';Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly'; (Job 4:18).
They're a pretty good baseball team.
angels are messengers and warriors
They are messengers of God. No angel ever got nailed to a cross. It was God Himself who was nailed to the cross.
The purpose of angels is to worship and serve God as He commands them to do. They serve as messengers, protectors, executioners of God's orders.

Jesus was not an angel, He was God Himself.
