Christ became man and came to earth and lived as one of us, Experienced life as we did but did so perfectly, He did not have a Sin nature as we do, But went through all the temptations as we do, In order for the sins of man to be paid for, one had to be perfect without blemish and sin, Jesus was that person.

As far as the Cross being used ? It is only a reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we do not have to die , but have eternal Life, People often have asked here, If Jesus was Killed with a Guillotine or and electric Chair, would you use that too answer Yes, You see, the Cross was considered the Most Horrible way one can die, not just way back then, but even now today Execution by crucifixtion is considered a Horrible way to be put to death, The History Channel has done at least one special on this confirming this.





the reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9) and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins.


All people have sinned against God. But, God is infinitely holy and righteous. He must punish the sinner, the Law breaker. If He didn't, then His law is not law for there is no law that is a law without a punishment. The punishment for breaking the Law is death, separation from God. Therefore, we sinners need a way to escape the righteous judgment of God. Since we are stained by sin and cannot keep the Law of God, then the only one who could do what we cannot is God Himself. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of eden, they seperated themselves and their prodigy from God. Rather than allow man to be seperate from Him, God sent His Son to die, and go to hell in our place, so that we would not have to, as long as we accepted that gift.





Now, anyone who accepts Christ, ( that is accepts the gift of His taking our punishment for us,) can be reconciled to God, and go to heaven when they die, instead of hell.
I do not think you understand what ';save'; means. No where in the bible did god say i will save you from ';rape, torture, murder, and made to listen to Obama speak';. Also, by asking your question, you are taking the viewpoint that god does indeed exist, and in this way, you have built a nice straw man to break down.
Jesus would not have fulfilled prophecy by being killed by any other means than the cross. Jesus fulfilled all prophecy by being killed on a cross.


The good news is that he arose the third day, showed himself to more than 500 people, walked, talked, and ate with them for 40 days before ascending back to heaven. Giving us the opportunity to be with him someday.

It is the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus that counts. Jesus went to hell and God raised him from the dead and then Jesus sprinkled his blood on the alter in heaven to atone for all sin.

It is only by accepting Jesus and converting to Christianity that one is saved from Hell. No unclean thing that can enter Heaven. It doesn't matter if you are supposedly a ';good'; person. There are no good people on earth. We are all sinners. If you are not saved, you have no one to blame but yourself.





God had to send his son to die. It was the only step that would enable God to forgive us of our sins if we believe in Jesus because he won't FORCE us to accept him.

It wasn't the cross it was the Man. Jesus sacrificed Himself in our place. All sin is punishable by death. Only Jesus the perfect sinless man, was qualified to pay our sin debt. His perfect sinless blood bought our pardon. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.
