Why dd Jesus let himself get nailed on the cross by the Romans?

Shouldn't He have struggled as they prepared to drive each one in, and tried to get away? Why dd Jesus let himself get nailed on the cross by the Romans?
... because he was ';holey';.Why dd Jesus let himself get nailed on the cross by the Romans?
no, he knew his whole life about it and accepted his fate, it was mission by god, and himself. he did it to get rid of our sins, and so that are sins could be forgiven when we pray and mean it. he died at thirty 3, and rose 3 days later. he did it for us, so thats why he didnt fight it when carring cross, being spit on, whiped, and nailed to cross. also, he was nailed because many, like jews, thought he was a fake.
Excerpt From Diamond Sutra (about 500 years before Jesus, read paragraph 4 below) :

The Buddha said to Subhūti: ';Yes, yes. You are right. You should know that if someone hears the teaching of this scripture and is neither shocked, afraid, or alarmed, this person is extremely rare. And why?

Subhūti, what the Tathāgata calls the greatest transcendence, is not the greatest transcendence. Therefore it is called the greatest transcendence.';

';Subhūti, the transcendent forbearance that I teach is not transcendent forbearance. And why not?

Subhuti: When the Rajah of Kalinga mutilated my body, I was at that time free from the idea of an ego-entity, a personality, a being, and a separated individuality.

Wherefore?

Because then when my limbs were cut away piece by piece, had I been bound by the distinctions aforesaid, feelings of anger and hatred would have been aroused in me.

Subhūti, I also remember some five hundred lifetimes ago having practiced forbearance as a renunciant sage.

At that time I was also free from the notions of self, person, sentient being, and life.

Therefore, Subhūti, the bodhisattvas should free themselves from all notions and arouse the aspiration for peerless perfect enlightenment.
He willingly laid down his life as a sacrifice for our sins.

1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1Pe 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

1Pe 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.” He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.” (Mark 16:33-13)

He just followed God's will for the sake of humanity.
Why did six million Jews let themselves be burned in the Nazi gas chambers? Because of the same scapegoat spirit of being Jewish. That's why Jesus lost all initiative to fight.

Thanks God a new generation of Jews

has arisen in Israel ready to fight back no matter what. It's a pity that Israel had not been reborn at the time of Hitler.
Love for all mankind ! I glad you know that He did not Struggle this Act had to be of His on Free Will to be in Compliance with the Father ! To struggle would show regret or His choice and that would show doubt to the World that He was not sure of what He was suppose to do. He gave His life freely !
well god didn't let him die like thats...

why would god let his '; only son'; die in such a way

Islam teaches before jesus was crusified his soul was switched with ';________'; ( can't remember his name) and jesus went up to heaven ... thats why ';jesus'; on the cross repeated god why have you abondoned me and stuff like that cuz jesus wouldn't say this only a bad person
He did it to save us from our sins. And if you had been beaten and flogged as badly as He had been would you have the strength to move away? Even if He wanted to He wouldn't of because He loved us too much to give even one of us up.
No because he was dying for your sins and my sins and if he hadn't gone through with it, we would not have the salvation we do. It was an act of love.
no because he knew he was right and he was there to be killed for everyone elses sins.

he comes back alive because he didnt do anything bad.
Are you really that dumb? Why? How? can you even ask that?He did not want too He did it because His Father asked Him too....duuuhhh.
It couldn't really be called a sacrifice on his part if he was forced to do it.
Jesus did what God wanted Him to do, like an obedient Son, He obeyed His heavenly Father
Perhaps they had all met previously at one of those Roman bath houses.....
He came for that very purpose. And the task was 'accomplished'
He came for that purpose, To redeem us with His blood.
he was already half dead, not much fight left.
did you not read the bible...

basically to cut it short, he did it for man kind.
Yes, He Should.

Maybe Ask Him Why He Didn't Struggle.

Don't Ask Us.

We Dont Know.
He wanted to see their carpentry skills
Try taking some time out from 'Simon says.'
