How is God not a tyrant to beat and nail his son up on a cross?

when he does not have the power in him to make people good? this comes from allot of Christians that say a man has to fall, so God beat the heck out his son and nailed him up on a tree for us.....or short form of a christian, he was crucified for our sins. Don't you think it is a little harsh to nail his son up like a animal....just so he can rise again in 3 days for you to quench his thirst for righteousness. Why chose such a road?

you say he loves us because he beat and nailed his son up on a cross for us....what about Jesus? How is God not a tyrant to beat and nail his son up on a cross?
God didn't do it.

Men did. It was horrible and unjust and cruel. But that's the kind of God we have -- even when we freely make decisions to hurt each other, God still works His grace through that and in the end, brings healing and new life. How is God not a tyrant to beat and nail his son up on a cross?
Roman soldiers who thought that Pontius Pilate, a Roman ruler, was appointed by divinity nailed Jesus to a cross under the charge of blasphemy. God did not do that. Crucifixion happened to a lot of people before it happened to Jesus of Nazareth, and hopefully the practice of crucifixion ended soon afterward. Since this question is about the Bible's events, I'll say that the Christian God is not said to interfere much with human activity. (in that case, I'm confused about why Christians pray.)
The meaning of His death.

For this purpose He came into the world [ John 12:27]

His death was prophesied hundreds of years before He came

[ Isaiah 53:3-8 ]

His death was a ransom for sin [ Matthew 20:28; Romans 3:24; 1Peter 1:18 ]

It was to pay the penatly for sin [ Romans 3:24; 1John 2:2; 4:10

Romans 5;10 %26lt;%26lt; reconciliation ]
God did not ';beat and nail his son up on a cross'; men made this decision. God allowed Men to do this. God did make us ';good';, hence Adam and Eve but he also gave us free will and man, having free will, decided to go againist God and do what he/she wanted (eating fruit from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.) Don't blame God for our decisions.
k first of all

jesus and god are part of eachother.

God planned it out and since Jesus can't die, he rose again. Jesus knew that he would rise again. Jesus knew that his temporary pain would end in never-ending glory and happiness in Heaven. Jesus also knew that his actions on the cross would bring many people to God, where we started off before we fell to sin. God knew this was the only way for people to be with Him, since he is perfect and we are far from it.
Because Jesus is not only God's son, but also God, so it was kinda like God was sacrificing Himself as well. And also, Jesus agreed with Him because whether it was God the Father or God the Son, both love everyone equally and don't want us to go to Hell. Jesus was very scared, (that was the human part of Him) but He also could see where God was going with it. That was trust, perfect trust (the God side of Him).
You are right and the theologians are wrong.

Jesus did not say that the Crucifixion was ';good news for mankind.'; That idea came from Paul/Saul.

The Original Kingdom Gospel that Jesus preached was not about blood for sin... it was about a ';treasure hid in a field.'; So you are absolutely right, and it is the theologians who created all this dark blood theology are wrong. More on my bio.
You seem like you have a lot of anger and resentment in you. I choose such a road because it gives me the inner peace to go on living my life every day. Jesus understood his role in the whole thing. Good day and God Bless.
HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN TAUGHT PERSONAL responsibility?? Humans did that...not God.... if you reject Him you will dig your own grave....
Come on, folks, don't feed the troll.
You can't ';force'; people to ';be good'; without interfering with Free Will.

Sin MUST be punished, in order to keep the balance. The Bible says that ';the wages of sin is DEATH.'; When you work, you expect to get paid wages, because it is proper and right. How would you like it if your boss just decided one day, ';Instead of giving you money now, I'm just going to ask you to *believe* that you've been paid'; (without giving you anything)? So mething real must be exchanged for something real.

Sin is a terrible thing, and it requires a terrible thing in exchange in order to make things right again.

When God arranged for His only Begotten Son to suffer and die on the cross, He wasn't punishing His Son for anything *He* did; He was punishing all the sins of humanity for all time. Just as people in the OT used to sacrifice lambs to pay for their sins, Christ became the Final Lamb who was slain once for all. That brought an end to the OT sacrificial system. The sin debt HAD to be paid. For those who choose to reject this incredible gift, they will have to pay for their own wins themselves - by dying permanently.

Also, EVERYONE on planet Earth thirsts for justice and righteousness. You should be grateful that we have a God who believes the same.

Also, Jesus was not a reluctant victim here. He *willingly* went to a death on the cross, knowing what was at stake. When all was over, He was resurrected, and rewarded by being given the most exalted position in Heaven, and given the power of Judgment over everyone. He is our King now. It was worth a few hours of pain and suffering.
You need to know Love and Mercy to understand this!

It is the flesh of man that sins it is the Flesh that must atone!

Jesus came in Flesh to make that atonement as no one else could.

This is a law of God. He is Just and could not change this law as it was for all time.

Now we live in the Spirit. Jesus raised again showed that death no longer had control over the flesh as it was Born new in the Spirit.

You need to understand Sacrifice and the Meaning of Blood, and a lot more.

I'm sure there are sites to explain it in detail for you. Type in the meaning of the Crucifixion I'm sure it will give you the answer.
Ok, I will take on your challenge. First, to fully understand, you must be heavenly minded. What Jesus suffered on the cross was but a minute compared to eternity in heaven. Second, God loved YOU that much. Yes it was his son, a part of him. But he sacrificed his only son that YOU could have the opportunity to have everlasting life. Third, God did not do the beating and nailing, that was all man. And fourth, I don't know what exactly you mean by, ';Just so he can rise again in 3 days';. I mean that's JUST pretty miraculous. Have you ever died and risen after 3 days? He ascended into heaven and will return. Be ready.
