I threaten to nail my kids to the cross if they dont remember their bible verses. Is this wrong?

calm downI threaten to nail my kids to the cross if they dont remember their bible verses. Is this wrong?
I would say YES. You would not actaully nail them to a cross and it seems to be joking around a bit with the sacrifice jesus madeI threaten to nail my kids to the cross if they dont remember their bible verses. Is this wrong?
well what do you think??

I think that you should not have kids..
Yes ! On so many levels... quit trying to put ';the fear of God'; and not to mention youself into you children. And, you might want to get some help while you at it.
Yes, you are a child abuser.
Yeah you're coming off as a bible beater you need to relax and stop shoving your beliefs and views on your kids and be their parent not some hard nosed priest who's hard bent on keeping the kids on the straight and narrow.
If you actually have a cross to nail them to, then it's already too late.
i think you need counseling.. you should really get your head checked psyco!!!! i agree iam calling social services on your crazy @ss
I'm reporting you to social services.
Of course it's wrong!! You want THEM to learn what is right and you stand over them ready to threaten and punish them for that? A little hypocritical, don't you think? Shame on you!! Who's the adult here!?!
can you find something else to joke about?
no. god did the same thing with jesus even though he did learn

those verses. are u nuts?
yes it is wrong don't be so hard on they gave they a day or two and they'll get it
VERY NORMAL.............. :-(
yes
Interesting. An anonymous person makes fun of some concept important to Christianity, and the Christians are upset by it. Good thing everybody on this board is at least minimally educated and has food to eat, or we'd be faced with bunch of rioting Christians!
Yes both in God's eyes and man it is murder. You need to learn your own bible verse .';thou shall not kill.'; And you need to get help if you actually told your kids this.
ok
yes, you have become a terrorist. You are making them afraid of you and could very well cause them to hate you. You can get them to learn Bible verses if you show them that you are truly interested in what they are doing by being a part of it all. Learn the verses with them, invent ways that makes it fun. Create stories that will help them remember the verses. (etc.) Have fun.
Not funny at all !!
Please tell me your kidding!!!! God never forced anyone to accept his word. So neither can we as parents force our children to accept them.

Remember the Lord is merciful, therefore please be merciful to your children.

I know you want them to be saved, but the truth is Jesus Christ has already died on the cross and that decision has already been made. Now all you can do is teach them the bible, and pray with them. But never scare them like that, you won't be bringing them to God, infact you might frighten them away.

I hope this helps Godbless!!!!!
umm definitely! for one reason just because you may be interested in bible verses doesn't mean they are...and you don't need to be a good catholic to remember the bible...i am in a theology class and it's absolutely impossible to remember any of this and I am in college. Also I am a nursing student so if I really really have to study hard at science A%26amp;P notes and that's even hard to retain...forget about the bible...
You figure it out.
Yes of course it is wrong.

It shows that you did not read the bible.

or at least that you missed the contents.
YES, you are asking for trouble in times to come. You can guide but not decide what they should believe.
you can lead a horse to water but ya can't make him or her to drink it..yeah that's all i got..lol
I pray you are kidding. Bible verses are good for knowledge, however parents are good for everything else. Do you want to create psychos????
QUITE WRONG!!
Let's see... I'm trying to remember any, AND I DO MEAN ANY, doctrine that advocates learning by nailing to a cross. Nope, not specifically a cross. Probably better find a different way to motivate Christian study. I assume you are trying to motivate Christian study?
