If Jesus was nail to the cross through his wrists, why do people with stigmata get bruise on their palms?

Because they did it themselves...It's fake! Why would Jesus leave bruises on your body and cause you pain? He suffered for us so we wouldn't have to experience it.If Jesus was nail to the cross through his wrists, why do people with stigmata get bruise on their palms?
Either consciously or unconsciously its likely to be phoney.

The wounds people experienced seemed to move when current accepted knowledge changed, ie people realised that the palms were a no no.

I think it has to bleed repeatedly for it to be stigmata rather than bruise. But the following occurs to me -

People may want to believe so badly the power of the mind could maybe cause it?

People are so desperate for attention they injure themselves (called Munchhausen Syndrome isn't it?)If Jesus was nail to the cross through his wrists, why do people with stigmata get bruise on their palms?
what the brain belives the body does. and if you see most crosses they have jesus nailed through his hands... if they belive that enough then the body follows.
On a Discovery Channel show they said that actually he was probably nailed through the hands becasue once his feet were stationary they would have held his weight.
they dont, it is in the wrists, ankels, head, and side.
i don't know what stigmata is, but i do know that Jesus was nailed to the cross through this place oin the palm. if they tried to nail people through the wrists, it wouldn't work...it'd just slit the wrist, basically and rip out. there are too many bones/veins and not enough muscle in that part of the arm. there is however, a place int he palm that there's a bit of a gap from two other bones and a lot of muscles, so someone could really be nailed to a cross through there and hold. i hope this makes sense.
stigmata could either be thru the wrist or palms
The stigmata are manifested in mentally disturbed persons. They are hysterical and fanatics. They make this wounds themselves.
