Instead of the cross with the Jesus nailed on?

wouldn't it be better if they used a baby jesus in a crib instead?Instead of the cross with the Jesus nailed on?
Yeah it's a bit of a scary image for children isn't it.Instead of the cross with the Jesus nailed on?
Actually, I prefer the cross empty. As Jesus is no longer on the cross, but has risen to be at the right hand of The Father, God, in Heaven. Yes, he was in a cradle as a baby and he was also on the cross. But Jesus is so much more. He walked on water. He knelt and prayed in a garden. He touched and healed the sick. We choose the symbol that means the most to us. Catholics like the symbol of Christ still on the cross. The symbol isn't what's important. It's if Jesus lives in your heart or not.
Some say a stake was used. Some say his hands were crossed one onto the other and others claim they were stretched out. And an attempt on his life as an infant was derailed, because of the reason he was sent in the first place, and the reason why other babies were murdered, thinking it was him. All man made decisions.
That would be nicer but,

religions use fear and guilt to maintain and gain followers.

Remember that horrible film The Passion of the Christ?

Christians should have protested it for it's excessive violence rather than take their underage children to an R rated film.
Depends on what part of the story you want to emphasize -- that Jesus was a living example of how mere humans could bridge the gap between the profane and the divine, or how Jesus was a particularly gory performance artist...
The cross with Jesus symbolises what he has done for us and that he sacrificed himself for us.

Baby Jesus in a crib only represents the birth of the Lord.
No, because He was a mature man who made a mature decision to die for our sins, and no baby could do that. Who would nail a baby to a cross?
The birth of Jesus is very important, but His death is more important because He rose Himself up from the dead. No one did that for Him. That is the miracle of Christ.
Many so called Christians only look at Jesus from the standpoint that he was a baby in a manger, But I look at him as an adult dying for my sins , %26amp; not only dying but also his resurrection.
actually the cross represents that jesus saved us the crib or manger represents his comming into the world
The Cross is the symbol of Christ dying for all sin and all men/women. A baby Jesus would not have the same meaning or impact.
The Romans adopted the Crucifix so they would look fearless going into battle!

Look we killed God, IMAGINE WHAT WE'LL DO TO YOU!!!
I'd agree, but the religious think in mysterious ways
At the top of certain Crosses you'll see the initials I.N.R.I , what does this mean?....... I'm nailed right in
yes i no! IN hospitals its so disturbing!
I never thought of it that way!!!
